Dr. Liz Thomas founded Sunshine Mobile Veterinary Services after seeing a need for personalized, in-home veterinary care to minimize stress for pets and their people. Dr. Thomas is a Tulsa native and a graduate of Jenks High School and Oklahoma State University for both undergraduate studies and Veterinary School. She has been in practice for over 7 years and loves all aspects of companion animal care but is passionate about dermatology, feline behavior, and internal medicine. She also loves to see the small furry creatures too- ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, and an occasional rabbit.
Dr. Thomas is married to her high school sweetheart, Mitch and has 3 children, a cat named White Foot, and a St. Bernard named Hudson. Dr. Thomas enjoys family time and caring for the inside and outside plants in her spare time.
Nurse Holly is originally from Arkansas, but she has lived in Tulsa for over two years now and loves the area. She has worked with animals for over 12 years now, 4 at a Humane Society and 8 years in Veterinary Medicine. She has two fur babies of her own, a sweet Aussie/Heeler mix named Clayton and a kitty cat named Petey. She enjoys reading and crafting in her free time and can't wait to meet all of your fur babies.

Our fully equipped surgical suite is perfect for spays, neuters, and other minor procedures. Other larger surgeries we may refer to one of our brick and mortar facilities for further monitoring post operatively.
Proper dental care is paramount to maintaining health for our pets long term and minimizing any discomfort that they cannot readily communicate to us. We utilize Nomad dental radiographs to diagnose disease under the gumline and implement treatment before chronic pain develops.
Inappropriate urination and fighting between the cats in the same home can lead to a huge source of frustration for owners and potentially discomfort for our feline friends. Dr. Thomas and Nurse Holly are both cat lovers and well versed in the idiosyncrasies of cat conflict. In home consulting allows us to witness conflict first and as well as see where stress could originate from.
In house laboratory equipment allows us to see a real time picture of our patient and deliver the most accurate recommendations to ease any discomfort. In around 20 minutes we can run a complete blood count, full chemistry, and thyroid levels. Additionally, we can perform a complete urinalysis to a diagnose urinary tract infections, screen for protein or crystals, and assess concentrating ability of the kidneys.
